Time card calculator
Add your shifts, check each day and keep the whole record together.
Your time card starts here.
Enable JavaScript to edit and calculate time cards. The worked examples and guides are available below.
Build the record
- Choose a weekly, biweekly or monthly period and its starting date.
- Enter the start and end date and time for each shift. Add another shift when a day has separate sessions.
- Add each break with its dates and times, and mark it paid or unpaid.
- Review day and period totals, then save a named card or choose an export.
What the total includes
A shift contributes the span between its entered start and end, minus its unpaid breaks. Paid breaks remain in that span. The complete net shift is assigned to its start date and the reporting period containing that date. This keeps one overnight record in one report while preserving its actual end date.
Daily and period totals add the net minutes from the shifts assigned to them. Rounding is off unless you explicitly choose a rule.
Incomplete records stay visible
A missing end time is not guessed. Save the entry as a draft if you need to return to it; drafts do not contribute a completed duration. Overlapping shifts, overlapping breaks and breaks outside a shift need review. Your other entries remain available while you fix the affected fields. A provisional subtotal must not be mistaken for a complete time card.
Save and export with a purpose
A local save keeps a named project in this browser. JSON preserves the complete editable project and its settings. CSV provides record data for a spreadsheet; PDF provides a reading and printing copy. Review dates and totals after exporting. If browser storage fails, the open card can still be calculated and downloaded as a backup.
