Monthly timesheet calculator

Keep a month of work in its actual calendar dates.

A calendar month has its own boundaries

Select the month you want to report. The editor uses that month’s real dates, including February 29 in a leap year. Weekly groupings help navigation inside the month, but a partial first or last week does not extend the report into another month.

Enter full dates for overnight shifts rather than changing a late end time to fit within a single calendar day. A month view is a report over dated records, not a reason to rewrite the original shift.

All 450 net minutes belong to October because October 31 is the start date. This record contributes zero minutes to November’s report. Its November end date is retained; the shift is neither split at midnight nor counted twice.

Review a longer record

  • Check the first and last dates before importing.
  • Use project labels and notes to distinguish similar-looking shifts.
  • Review incomplete entries as a group before exporting.
  • Check pagination in the PDF or print preview; a month can need more than one page.

Dates without timezone inference

The calculator uses the clock times and dates you enter. It does not infer the elapsed real time of a daylight-saving transition or travel between time zones. Those cases need offset information that this card does not collect.

Frequently asked questions

Does a monthly card always contain thirty days?

No. It uses the selected calendar month’s actual dates, including February 29 in a leap year and the thirty-first day where applicable.

Where does a shift ending on the first day of next month appear?

The complete net shift stays in the month containing its start date. The actual end date in the following month remains part of the record.
